Proposed logotype for the new AFAM look.

Proposed mark for the new American Folk Art Museum.

Two sets of banner designs for the outside of the museum; the top set are cut out of metal with a copper verdigris finish (as seen from both directions), and the second set are made from fabric (both sides shown).

Renderings of what the banners and mark would look like on the museum building.

Detail of the mark on the then existing facade with current signage.

Above, elements of a proposal created for the American Folk Art Museum in New York City,  before their unfortunate financial crisis and loss of their building.

Research indicated that as beautiful as their building was, people walked right past it (even when they were looking for it.) Part of my solution was to add a jolt of color to new graphics to stop people in their tracks.

From the archives: logotype for Lambert Landscape Company, here in Dallas. It is still being used.
